The Pokémon World Championships 2026 (PWC2026) Game Division will determine the world's number one Pokémon Champion. This prestigious international tournament will be held this summer and is only open to players who have earned invitations through regional championships.

About PWC2026 Game Division

PWC2026 Game Division is the official live tournament to crown the world's Pokémon battle champion. The competition will span multiple days and feature the best players from around the globe. Only players who have earned invitations through their regional championships can participate.

How to Earn Your Invitation

In Japan, invitations to PWC2026 are awarded based on performance at the Pokémon Japan Championships 2026 (PJCS2026) Game Division. Players must first qualify for and compete in the PJCS2026 live event to be eligible for PWC2026 invitations.

Invitation Types

PWC2026 Standard Invitation (60 players per category)

• Awarded to top 5-64 finishers in each PJCS2026 category
• Players must attend the PJCS2026 live event

PWC2026 Invitational Invitation (4 players per category)

• Awarded to top 4 finishers in each PJCS2026 category
• Players must attend the PJCS2026 live event
• The Pokémon Company covers all travel and accommodation expenses for PWC2026

Eligibility Requirements

• Must attend the PJCS2026 live event
• Final placement at PJCS2026 determines invitation type
