2026 Official Tournament Age Categories
Pokémon Champions official tournaments in 2026 will be organized into three age-based categories. Players must select their birth month and region when starting the game, as these settings determine tournament eligibility.
Tournament Categories (Age Divisions)
- Junior Category: Born 2014 or later
- Senior Category: Born 2010-2013
- Master Category: Born 2009 or earlier
Setting Your Region and Birth Month
When you start Pokémon Champions, a settings screen will appear. Select your tournament region and enter your birth month. Your region setting can be changed later through Battle → Online Tournaments → Region Change, but your birth month cannot be changed once set.
Important Restrictions
- Birth month cannot be changed after initial setup
- Region cannot be changed after entering a tournament until that tournament concludes
- Tournament eligibility is determined by your in-game region and birth month settings
What Are Official Tournaments?
Official tournaments are competitions held by The Pokémon Company through online tournaments and real-world events. These tournaments follow specific rules and regulations. Tournament schedules and rules are announced through in-game notifications. Check the News section in your game menu for the latest tournament information.
Participating in Official Tournaments
Official tournaments are available through the Online Tournaments section in Pokémon Champions. Your region and birth month settings determine which tournaments you can enter. Make sure your settings are correct before registering for any tournament.
